What is yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy is not a yoga class.

It is a clinically informed, one-on-one healing modality that uses yogic tools like breathwork, movement, somatic practices, meditation, and lifestyle guidance to address the root causes of pain, stress, and imbalance rather than just managing the symptoms. Where a yoga class offers a general sequence for a room full of people, yoga therapy is built entirely around one person: you.

As a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), I complete a comprehensive assessment of your nervous system patterns, movement habits, sleep, lifestyle, and goals before recommending anything. From there, I build a personalized treatment plan that evolves as you do and after every session, you receive a written summary and a custom set of practices to carry into your daily life.

This is not a quick fix. It is lasting, root-level healing and it works because it was designed specifically for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience with yoga to work with you?

Not at all. Most of my clients come in with little to no yoga background — and many have never set foot in a yoga class. Yoga therapy is not about poses or flexibility. It's a personalized, therapeutic process that meets you exactly where you are, no prior experience required.

How is yoga therapy different from a regular yoga class?

In a group yoga class, everyone follows the same sequence. In yoga therapy, every session is built entirely around you — your nervous system, your symptoms, your goals, and your life. I begin with a comprehensive assessment and create a personalized treatment plan that evolves as you do. After every session you receive a written summary and a custom set of practices to use between appointments.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies by person and goal. Many clients notice meaningful shifts within two to three sessions, while lasting, root-level change typically unfolds over eight to twelve weeks. I will give you an honest recommendation after your first session based on what she observes in your initial assessment.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes — all of my services are available virtually over Zoom and are just as effective as in-person sessions for most clients. Virtual sessions are a great option if you're outside of Denver, prefer the comfort and privacy of your own space, or simply have a schedule that makes in-person visits difficult.

Guide includes accessible practices for regulating the nervous system — breathwork, a body scan, a grounding sequence.
